Project Description
In Spokane’s neighborhood, Heinemann Painting completed a full exterior repaint and restoration of a 2,000 sq ft home that required substantial prep and attention to detail. The structure had aged gracefully but was showing signs of wear—peeling paint, uneven coverage, and years of exposure without fresh coatings.
The homeowner, Mr. Moyer, was looking for a clean, updated finish using a three-color scheme that would highlight the architectural details, especially the corbels. We were hired to perform professional pressure washing, surface prep, priming, and two full coats of paint on all surfaces.
The total project took four days and was completed using Sherwin-Williams Duration Satin Finish in Cracked Pepper for the body, Swirling Water for trim and doors, and Cathedral Gray for the corbels to add a crisp, standout accent. The estimated budget fell within the standard residential range for high-quality exterior repainting, considering the home’s square footage and condition.
Background/Story:
Mr. Moyer is a repeat client who first reached out to Heinemann Painting after struggling to find a painter he could truly rely on. Over time, through open communication, quality work, and professional follow-through, we earned his trust. That trust became the deciding factor when it was finally time to repaint his home’s aging exterior.
The property had not been repainted in many years. Paint was flaking, surfaces were dry and brittle in areas, and the overall appearance had dulled. He wanted the house to feel new again—fresh, clean, and elegant, but not overdone. More importantly, he wanted the job done right.
Together, we reviewed color options, tested samples, and finalized a three-color palette that respected the home’s history while introducing contrast and subtle drama. He especially loved the idea of giving the corbels a different tone to enhance the home’s character without overwhelming it.
Throughout the project, we kept communication tight. Mr. Moyer was onsite at times, checking in on progress, and offering feedback. We’ve now done multiple projects for him, and the relationship continues to grow stronger with every completed job.

Results:
The result was a dramatic yet elegant transformation. The home now has clean color transitions, solid coverage, and renewed life. Cracked Pepper gives the body a grounded, sophisticated tone, while the white trim brightens edges and frames. The standout touch? The Cathedral Gray corbels, which now subtly catch the eye and bring out the home’s architectural details in a way that wasn’t visible before.
The finish is smooth, even, and consistent across all elevations. All surfaces were painted to manufacturer-recommended mil thickness, and touch-up work was completed with precision. No overspray, no flashing, no missed spots—just clean, professional work from top to bottom.
Mr. Moyer expressed his appreciation multiple times throughout the project and has since left us glowing Google reviews. He mentioned the trust that continues to build and the professionalism of the crew, both of which made this job a win for everyone involved.
“Heinemann Painting is my go-to. They’re consistent, honest, and deliver work that speaks for itself. This house has never looked better.”
